Description:
The Community Media Center of Marin (CMCM) is a new non-profit based in San Rafael that will administer the Public, Educational and Governmental Cable TV channels for most of Marin County. CMCM will offer special member services to local non-profits organizations to help them utilize the cable channels and the web to reach their constituents and the general public. Organizations will be able to produce programming in our studios or on location either live or recorded for later playback.

Come to this free session to see examples of non-profit media in action to help you consider the applications that may be relevant to the mission of your own organization. We'll discuss examples of non-profit regular series programming, special programming and public service announcements in addition to other CMCM services available such as our community calendars and online video hosting.

PRESENTER: Michael Eisenmenger came to Marin from NYC where he worked for years as a community media advocate/producer with many organizations including Grit TV, Paper Tiger TV, Manhattan Neighborhood Network and the Independent Media Centers. Michael also co-founded Media Jumpstart, a non-profit providing web, database and technical assistance to the NYC area non-profit community. Michael is currently the executive director of the Community Media Center of Marin.
