FAITHS PARTNERSHIP

The FAITHS Partnership is designed to support and strengthen local congregations' engagement in the community. Annually, the Marin Community Foundation's FAITHS Partnership program provides more than 20 congregations around the County with funding for specific community building service projects. The Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership partners with the Marin Community Foundation to provide technical assistance to help the congregations plan for and implement their projects.

Bridge the Gap
Provide after-school tutoring and family support for Marin City youth and families.

Church of Saint Raphael
Parish Outreach Program strengthens Saint Raphael's connections with neighborhood residents and community organizations.

Congregation Gan Halev
Programs engage congregation and community members in education and discussion on social and environmental issues.

Congregation Rodef Sholom
Engages youth and families in volunteer community projects that provide support for various at-risk and disadvantaged groups.

Fairfax Community Church
Partners with youth leaders to work towards social, economic, and environmental positive changes in their communities.

First United Methodist/San Rafael
San Quentin Families Project supports children and families of incarcerated men in San Quentin prison.

Gilead House
Training program provides training for staff and volunteer caregivers at this transitional house for single mothers.

Golden Gate Center for Spiritual Living
Programs support disaster preparedness programs for homeless families.

Green Sangha
Rethinking Plastics program provides public information materials and campaign.

Institite of Abundant Living / Novato Open Door Christian Church
Education programs support emergency preparedness for adults and teen-aged youth living with developmental challenges.

International Association of Sufism
Program provides stress and anger management education services for clients and training for staff in various nonprofit organizations.

Jumpstart Network
Provides English as a Second Language program for community members.

Novato Community Church of Christ
Support ESL classes for area residents and leadership and support for an immigrant support group.

Novato Housing Coalition
Supports the coalition of churches in affordable housing advocacy program for the Novato area.

San Francisco Zen Center
Provides environmental education and outreach to Marin County schools.

Sleepy Hollow Presbyterian Church
Kids About Town project which will utilize an intern from S.F. Theological Seminary to work with neighborhood middle-school aged children.

St. Andrew Presbyterian Church
Supports the Southern Marin food pantry program.

St. Nicholas Orthodox Church
Manages kitchen gardens at two housing facilities for low-income seniors.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church
Teen Success Breakfast program engages volunteer congregants to provide nutritious breakfasts for teens at the Marin Community School.

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church
Junior Director Program of the Arts and Spirituality program connects Marin City and Canal area youth with the St. Stephens community.

Westminster Presbyterian Church
Supports the health and wellness program for the hungry and homeless in Southern Marin.
