SAN RAFAEL, CA, November 3, 2021 – Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL) has opened their call for nominations for the 29th Annual Heart of Marin Awards. Everyone is encouraged to honor the contributions and achievements of nonprofits and leaders who help make our community healthier, happier, and more equitable by submitting nominations online.
“Due to our full lives and busy schedules, especially the last nineteen months, we often forget to pause and reflect on the good work that has been accomplished in our communities,” said Linda Jacobs, CEO of CVNL. “Heart of Marin encourages the whole community to share what nonprofits and volunteers have done to make a difference – and thank them for their contributions.”
As the largest recognition event in the county, Heart of Marin gives $35,000 to outstanding nonprofits and the committed individuals who serve them.
Nominations are accepted in the following award categories:
Lifetime Achievement, Excellence in Leadership, Achievement in Nonprofit Excellence, Corporate Community Service, Excellence in Innovation, Excellence in Board Leadership, Youth Volunteer of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year.
The Awards Ceremony and Luncheon will take place on January 13, 2021, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Bill and Adele Jonas Center at the College of Marin in Novato. All nominees and recipients will be honored at the January event. Tickets will go on sale soon at cvnl.org.
The 29th Annual Heart of Marin Awards will be a hybrid, in-person and virtual, event with limited in-person seating for fully vaccinated attendees.
“We are excited to be hosting this event at a new venue and in-person,” said Jacobs. “It’s been too long since we’ve been together face-to-face and experienced the energy and emotion that comes with recognition.”
Submit your nominations online by November 19, 2021, 5:00 PM at https://cvnl.org/heart-of-marin/.
