May was born and raised in Marin County, and grew up involved with local nonprofit organizations as a volunteer and program participant. During her 8th through 12th grade years, she served as a volunteer tutor with Bridge the Gap College Prep in Marin City, and was nominated for CVNL’s Heart of Marin Award in 2012. She is thrilled to join CVNL as a staff member to give back and become more involved with local nonprofit programming and community-building.
May graduated from Williams College with a BA in Women’s Studies in 2017. After returning to the Bay Area, she gained experience in public health as a medical assistant and health educator, and deepened her involvement with local nonprofit organizations as a volunteer, fundraising assistant, and board member with YES! (Yes to Consent). May advanced her skills in project management, financial analysis, and administration via online courses and independent projects. She brings these skills and a passion for constant growth and discovery with her to the Program & Development Assistant position at CVNL.
