Melissa Stoakley

joins the CVNL team with the intention of helping others realize their personal and professional leadership potential. As a fairly new Marinite, the draw of living in a community actively engaged in volunteerism ultimately guided Melissa’s decision to pursue her Bachelor’s degree from Dominican University of California in San Rafael. In her undergraduate career, Melissa seized every opportunity to invest in her many diverse interests and give back to not only her university but also the Marin Community. She honed her leadership skills as Vice President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and a mentor for the Allen Sports Club. Some of her most notable leadership experiences while in college came from her involvement with the Make-A-Wish Foundation where she was the student lead on the university’s first ever wish reveal. She was also actively involved with Campus Ministry where she volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, SF-Marin Food Bank, CYO Camp at Caritas Creek, and Casa de Los Pobres in Tijuana, Mexico for an Alternative Spring Break Trip.

Now working at CVNL, Melissa is excited to contribute her organizational skills, passion for learning, and drive to make Marin a better place to live, work and connect with others. Aside from the work she will be doing here, Melissa will be joining the Women, Leadership, & Philanthropy Council of Dominican’s Alumni Association.
