AmeriCorps Reflections
Spotlight on: Andrea Mitchell
AmeriCorps Fellow, Marine Mammal Center
My name is Andrea Mitchell and I am the AmeriCorps Fellow at The Marine Mammal Center. I was born and raised in a small town in Southern New Jersey. There I attended school at Stockton University and studied Psychology with a minor in Holistic Health. Prior to accepting the position at the Center, I was working at a Behavioral Health Hospital as a Child Life Counselor. I love the change of pace and scenery here in Sausalito.
It has always been a dream of mine to move across the country and live in California. In addition to that, I have an enormous love for the planet and service. I’m so thankful to have the opportunity to combine all of my passions in one experience. I look forward to learning and growing throughout this year.
In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, reading, discovering quaint coffee shops, traveling, the beach, hiking and absolutely anything outdoors. I am so thankful to serve with AmeriCorps and see what this year brings.
