With fewer festivities on tap, perhaps a less extravagant menu to prepare and certainly fewer guests to greet, many in Sonoma County face a Thanksgiving weekend unlike any other.

One option? Volunteering.
Young people finish Vallejo projects

Sonoma County’s Secret Santa program continues to bring holiday joy to tens of thousands of children and families in need each year. The 2020 program will be a virtual version of traditional giving, including a touchless platform to serve the community and keep staff and volunteers safe.
Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership’s (CVNL) Secret Santa Program has helped neighbors in need for 30 years. Together with partners KZST and Friedman’s Home Improvement, holiday wishes are fulfilled for nearly 40,000 people in Sonoma County each year. New for 2020: Secret Santa will be shifting entirely to an online platform. CVNL encourages everyone in the community to participate this year by adopting hearts or Santa letters online.
