CVNL is pleased to Anounce Two New Staff

Janette Gitler as Director of Executive Search & Transition Services
and Sheila McNulty as Director of Marketing & Communications

SAN RAFAEL, CA, August 31, 2016 – Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL) is pleased to announce that two new directors have joined their San Rafael office. Janette Gitler brings more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and consulting for organizations in areas of public broadcasting, the environment, health, and the visual and performing arts. Janette is dedicated to identifying, recruiting and training the best leaders while facilitating successful organizational transitions. She draws upon her extensive knowledge and direct experience as a board member, executive director, interim executive, and senior program director for nonprofits of various budget sizes and in diverse communities locally, nationally and internationally to provide professional recruiting services and interim executive placement. 

“My passion has been and continues to be working with and strengthening nonprofits,” said Janette. “I am devoted to helping nonprofits find excellent people to advance their important work and influence positive change in the community. Sheila McNulty brings 17 years of marketing expertise and 5 years of nonprofit experience to CVNL. As a marketing professional, she has worked in the natural foods, art, and architecture industries. Most recently, she was Interim Executive Director for the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce, and served on the Board of Directors of Sustainable Fairfax for three years. Sheila specializes in situational analysis, strategic planing, communications, advocacy, creative development and brand management. As Director of Marketing & Communications, she reports to CEO, Linda Davis, and will be responsible for the development and implementation of CVNL’s marketing and communication strategies.

Sheila believes that through volunteerism, individuals can create profound and positive change in their communities. She also believes that nonprofits are integral to community engagement, and with great leaders, have the potential to ensure a thriving local economy, health of our environment, well-being of our citizens, and advancement of our arts. “I am very happy to join CVNL and work with an accomplished team of nonprofit professionals who share my vision for the future,” said Sheila. “My aim at CVNL is to accomplish all marketing objectives and organizational goals while generating good will, increasing constituent engagement, and modeling integrity, honesty and care.” To learn more about Sheila, see her full bio.
