Sonoma County, CA, April 20, 2023 —The Sonoma County Human Race returns Saturday, May 13th, 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Old Courthouse Square, Santa Rosa, CA. An established icon in Sonoma County, The Human Race has raised over $25 million for nearly 7,700 local nonprofits over the past 38 years. The theme of the 2023 Sonoma County Human Race is #OneHumanRace.
The Sonoma County Human Race is a spirited family-friendly, dog-friendly, costume-friendly 5K fundraiser where participants compete to raise dollars for their favorite local nonprofit organizations and causes. Currently, over 75 local nonprofits and businesses are signed up to participate. Registration is open to individuals, schools, nonprofits, and businesses.

Sonoma County Human Race welcomes and honors important work being done to better our communities,” said Linda Jacobs, CEO of CVNL. “We are pleased to be an inclusive event that welcomes all nonprofits, schools, and community groups across Sonoma County and the North Bay.
At the heart of the race is the Community Village, located at the start/finish line of the race, at Old Courthouse Square. The general public is encouraged to come out to cheer racers on and enjoy the festivities and camaraderie of the Community Village. Local nonprofits and businesses will be demonstrating their work with informational booths, hands-on activities, and giveaways. A Kids’ Zone will be set up for the younger generation with Corn Hole, glitter tattoos, games, and the Sonoma County Children’s Museum.
The event is expected to draw a crowd of 500-800+ at Old Courthouse Square in downtown Santa Rosa. KZST will be kicking off the day and getting people revved up to race and raise funds. Individuals and teams of all ages and abilities are participating – running, walking, rolling, strolling, dog-walking, and most importantly – having fun and raising dollars for our community. All racers will be timed and must be registered in advance. Registration will be available morning of the event from 7:00 – 7:30 AM. Race time begins at 8:00 AM sharp.
