Lunch and Learn: The Accidental DEI Expert

12/3/2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM PT

This event is intended to hold space for self-identified Black, Indigenous, and People of Color and specially designed to address the challenges of being a BIPOC Nonprofit Leader who has become the accidental DEI expert in their organization.

As diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts have increased in momentum within the nonprofit sector, many people of color have found themselves in a position of being asked to lead, or compelled to lead, their organization’s activities to further equity and inclusion. This role is fraught with unique challenges that are often not acknowledged. Join us for a conversation to explore the role you play in your organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion work and build community and tools to better support you in your work.

During this virtual session on Zoom, we encourage audience participation and will have some breakout rooms. Feel free to bring your lunch!
