2023 Employment Law Update

This month’s Peer Learning Network meeting will be our 2023 Employment Law Update with a presentation from Valorie Bader of Welty, Weaver, and Currie.
About the speaker:
Valorie Bader began practicing in 1986, and has worked within firms and as a solo practitioner, specifically in the areas of employment counseling, training, employment litigation and mechanic liens. She represents businesses and individuals and litigates in court and before administrative agencies. She has 30 years of experience in evaluating current practices, identifying risks and developing compliance strategies for employers in every aspect of employment, including a broad array of claims relating to types of pay, reimbursements, leaves and other wage and hour claims, Bureau of Field Enforcement and Cal-OSHA citations, accommodation and workers' compensation return to work issues, all forms of harassment, employee privacy and social media questions, and other regulations applicable to employment.
Peer Learning Networks are convened and facilitated virtually by CVNL staff members and provide a supportive network of like-minded peers for nonprofit professionals. The groups host guest speakers, facilitated conversations, networking, and other learning opportunities.
