SAN RAFAEL, CA, September 12, 2023 – Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL) announces the 31st Annual Heart of Marin Awards call for nominations. Everyone is encouraged to honor the contributions and achievements of Marin County nonprofits and their volunteers and leaders who help make our community healthier, happier, and more equitable.

Heart of Marin celebrates eight unique categories of community service and distributes $35,000 in awards annually. Everyone is encouraged to nominate, and self-nominations are welcomed. Nominations are accepted online www.cvnl.org/heartofmarin beginning September 12 through October 20, midnight.

“Due to our full lives and busy schedules, we often forget to pause and reflect on the good work that has been accomplished in our communities,” said Linda Jacobs, CEO of CVNL. “Heart of Marin encourages the whole community to share what nonprofits and volunteers have done to make a difference – and thank them for their contributions.”

As the largest recognition event in the county, Heart of Marin celebrates nonprofits and the committed individuals who serve them.

Nominations are accepted in the following award categories:

Lifetime Achievement, Excellence in Leadership, Achievement in Nonprofit Excellence, Corporate Community Service, Excellence in Innovation, Excellence in Board Leadership, Youth Volunteer of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year.
