Susan Brown

Director of Executive Search Services

Susan began her search career with Korn/Ferry International as part of their general search practice. Following a move to Boyden International as a Partner, she was recruited to Booz Allen & Hamilton to lead their internal Executive Search function. More recently, operating as a retained consultant, she has provided in-house Executive Search capabilities to high viability companies such as Yahoo, eBay, PayPal and Logitech, among others. Susan presently works with a select group of clients on a retained basis, filling positions at the Director level and above; providing the personalized and responsive service that has distinguished her approach to search from her first days at Korn/Ferry. Linda Jacobs

Chief Executive Officer

Since 2002, Linda Jacobs has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Center of Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL). In its fifth decade, CVNL provides resources and services to help strengthen nonprofits, enhance community leadership, and facilitate volunteerism in Marin and the Bay Area. Linda has 32 years’ experience in nonprofit management, working with both local and national organizations on a diversity of issues. She is a frequent presenter and facilitator on issues and trends in the nonprofit sector and consults with nonprofits on board governance, executive transition, and leadership development.

Linda has served on many local and national nonprofit boards in all officer positions. She is a former appointee to the Marin County Women’s Commission, past President of the Marin National Organization for Women, and a former member of the Marin Independent Journal Editorial Board. Linda was inducted into the Marin Women’s Hall of Fame in 2010. In 2013, she received the “We’re All in this Together, Community Building” North Bay Leadership Council Leaders of the North Bay award, and was recognized by the North Bay Business Journal with a Nonprofit Leadership Award.

Linda graduated from the University of South Florida and is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Institute for Organization Management. View staff bio.

Gina Guillemette

Director of Consulting Services

Gina is a skilled nonprofit leader with more than twenty years of experience as a nonprofit staff person, board member, consultant, volunteer and advocate. As Director of Consulting Services for CVNL, Gina draws on her knowledge and skills to partner with nonprofit leaders in exploring strategic questions, tackling practical challenges and advancing their missions through creative, solution-focused practices.

An experienced trainer, facilitator and presenter, Gina works effectively with individuals and groups to leverage the knowledge, experience, passion and skills present in each person as well as the collective. She is an experienced manager and leader, adept at building teams, identifying common goals and leveraging diverse contributions toward a shared end. Gina has extensive first-hand knowledge of the realities that nonprofits of varying sizes, program areas and funding portfolios face on a day-to-day basis. She incorporates a balance of the aspirational with the practical and actionable into her training and consulting work.
