Staying Resilient: Navigating Change Together After the Election

A note for support from our CEO, Linda Jacobs:

It has been a long election cycle and a difficult 48 hours. Most of the results are in and the impact is beginning to hit us. We recognize that you are likely experiencing a variety of emotions as are we. Regardless of your organization’s mission, the effect of a major shift in leadership at the White House and Congress will be far-reaching.

We understand that, in times like these, it can feel challenging to move forward. However, we want to remind you that our work is about long-term progress, community-building, and creating a lasting positive impact, no matter the political climate. Your resilience is crucial to making our collective vision a reality.

At Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership, we are deeply committed to our mission to advance nonprofits and volunteerism by strengthening leadership, encouraging innovation and empowering individuals in our community. We remain focused on continuing our efforts to create positive change.

Elections are an important moment for our communities, and regardless of the outcomes, the work we do together remains the priority. At CVNL, we believe that in times of change, nonprofits play a critical role. As we navigate this moment together, we encourage you to take care of yourself and others in the community. The path forward may seem dark and uncertain, but our collective efforts to create positive change will light the way.

If you ever need support or wish to connect, we are here for you.

In community,

Linda Jacobs, CEO, and the entire CVNL staff and board
