CVNL BIPOC Scholarship

Purpose: CVNL consistent with our core values to enhance connections, contributions, and care among staff and volunteers in the nonprofit ecosystem of Marin, Napa, Sonoma, and Solano Counties. The Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) Scholarship has been created to address on-going social, economic, and political inequities for opportunities to develop as leaders in the community. Funders sharing in our core values, mission, and vision of equity and social justice as partners to this initiative make this program possible.

Support: CVNL will determine the level of support based on funding availability and other considerations for CVNL’s Learning and Leadership programmatic terms: Fall, Spring, and Summer of each calendar year. The scholarship is financial support toward the cost of the learning and leadership programs—the participants are expected to pay a portion of the program tuition.

Qualifications: Nonprofit staff or volunteers identifying as Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and other under-represented individuals in Marin, Napa, Sonoma, and Solano Counties.

The participants requesting the BIPOC Scholarship may qualify for one scholarship per term per program. CVNL may prioritize qualifying participants from CVNL member organizations over those who have not previously received scholarships. Scholarship support will be provided based on qualifications and availability of the funds.
