CVNL's Learning and Leadership Programs
CVNL is pleased to offer partial scholarships to Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and under-represented individuals who are nonprofit staff or volunteers serving in Marin, Napa, Sonoma, and Solano Counties.
These scholarships are made available by generous grants from the Peter A., and Vernice H. Gasser Foundation, the Community Foundation of Sonoma County, the Solano County Community Foundation, Marin Community Foundation, and U.S. Bank. Management Essentials Series. New This Fall, In-Person Series!
New this Fall! Management Essential Series is offered as a two-day in-person learning series. Gather with peers and professionals to learn and apply strategies and best practices for managing people and teams. Ideal for newly promoted managers, experienced managers, and management teams.

Grant Writing Certificate
A four-session series to build capacity to build the grant proposal program within your nonprofit. The series conducted on Zoom consists of lectures, scenario-based learning, and group discussions that reinforce the material, involves peer review and includes writing exercises.
Board Governance boot camp
Solid and smart boards are critical to the health of your nonprofit organization. This four-part series helps organizations diagnose their board needs and equip their board members with the training and resources to take their leadership to the next level.

From needs assessments and environmental scans to stakeholder engagement, you must thoroughly understand all the steps necessary to design, implement, and evaluate successful programs.

The Excellence in Leadership Program (ELP) is a focused, immersive program with over 30 hours of teaching and coaching from expert faculty and nonprofit professionals.
