Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership Announces The 100MARIN Giving Circle Call for Nonprofit Nominations.
Nominations Are Open July 1 – August 11.
Selected Nominees will be recognized and the premier award recipient will receive a substantial grant at the 100MARIN Fall 2023 Celebration of Philanthropy.

MARIN COUNTY, JUNE 30, 2023 – Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL) and 100MARIN announce the call for nonprofit nominations beginning July 1 – August 11, for 100MARIN Giving Circle’s Fall 2023 Celebration of Philanthropy.
The Fall celebration, to be held Thursday, October 5, 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at the Sausalito Portuguese Culture Center, will provide 100MARIN members the opportunity to recognize and award nonprofit recipients for 2023.
In 2022, Mount Tamalpais College received the primary award of $20,000.00. For nearly 25 years, Mount Tamalpais College – formerly known as the Prison University Project – has provided a world-class higher education to students incarcerated at San Quentin State Prison. Mount Tamalpais College is an accredited independent liberal arts college dedicated explicitly to serving incarcerated students, free of charge, to expand access to quality higher education, and to foster the values of equity, civic engagement, independence of thought, and freedom of expression. Four secondary awards of $1,000.00 each were presented to Marin City Community Development Corporation, Performing Stars, Vivalon, and Zero Breast Cancer.
Established in 2015, 100MARIN Giving Circle – founded by a group of like-minded professionals – has developed a strong network of individuals passionate about local nonprofits and their causes. This collaborative philanthropic group – approximately 200+ strong – leverages membership investments of a $150 per member (minimum), toward a collective giving fund to create a substantial cumulative impact. Since 2015, 100MARIN has donated over $300,000.00 to nonprofits serving Marin County.
100MARIN and Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL) formed a partnership in 2021 to strengthen their support and recognition of Marin County’s diverse community of nonprofits. Together, the organizations bring a rich experience in creating award and recognition events to celebrate, honor, and support the critical work of nonprofits in our communities.
