CVNL Placement Announcement: Sue Robbins Named Individual Giving Director with Catholic Charities

Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL) is pleased to announce that Sue Robbins has been named Individual Giving Director with Catholic Charities. Sue will report and be a key partner to Director of Advancement, Kathy Brown. As Individual Giving Director, Sue will be responsible for managing Catholic Charities’ Anual Fund Campaigns and for increasing gifts from individuals.

Mrs. Brown said of Sue’s appointment, “Sue will be a great partner in helping Catholic Charities to meet its fund development goals. Her passionate and compassionate understanding of Catholic Charities’ mission to provide services and programs that strengthen families and reduce poverty, and her ability to work well with diverse groups make Sue the perfect addition to the Advancement team.”

Sue brings to Catholic Charities a unique combination of fund development and event planning and production experience with public education institutions and with nonprofit organizations. Sue’s fundraising background includes recent work as Event Planer with the Olympic Club Foundation, which annually provides a total of $500,000 in grant awards to Bay Area youth athletic programs. At the Olympic Club Foundation Sue was Board event liaison and directly responsible for increasing contributed income from events. Prior to her work with the Foundation, for seven years, Sue directed Anual Campaigns for San Rafael City Schools where she increased participation and funds raised by 37%. Sue also held the position of Vice President and Corporate Secretary with Robbins Construction, Inc., and for 13+ years was Director of Catering Sales for the Pan Pacific and Portman Hotels in San Francisco. Sue obtained her B.A. in Social Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
