2021 Employment Laws to Consider in the Continuing Evolution of COVID-19 Restrictions and Precautions 

 

Valorie Bader, of Counsel for Welty Weaver & Currie PC has been advising employers in all aspects of employment law, including wage and hour, leave policies and practices, discrimination and harassment, workers’ compensation, COVID-19 protocols, discipline and termination.  Valorie has represented clients in litigation and before the Labor Commissioner, the EDD, the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, the DFEH and other administrative agencies.  Valorie will be speaking on the application of both new law and existing regulation to current issues arising in the workplace, including continued telecommuting, extension of leave benefits to employers of five or more under the California Family Rights Act, federal benefit cut-off and use of independent contractors in the new era.
